General API Terms of Use

These General API Terms of Use (“Terms”) are applied to the use of the Finavia’s API Platform providing access to the Application Programming Interfaces (“API”) of Finavia Oyj (business ID: 2302570-2), Lentäjäntie 3, 01531 Vantaa (“Finavia”). In order to use the Finavia’s API Platform and the APIs offered on the platform, you must accept the following Terms and any Specific API Terms of Use (“Specific Terms”) that may apply to specific APIs.

User Identification

Any party obtaining access to the Finavia’s API Platform (“API User”) must provide true personal name and true company name during signup to the API Platform. The API User receives a license to use the API Platform and an API key. The API key that API Users receive is personal.

Use of API

The API User may only share the API key for development purposes with parties involved in development of an application or a service using the specific API. The API User may only distribute data obtained through the APIs for the purpose as described in the specific APIs. API User may not use the API to transmit information that is inaccurate, harmful, misleading and offensive or is perceived as unwanted mass communication or to transmit any malware, viruses, denial of service attacks or use the API in any other way that is harmful. API User may not use the API and the data provided via API for other purposes as described in the specific API. API may not be used for combining data relating to an identified natural person. Such data is personal data and cannot be used in any way without permission of that person. API User must comply with all privacy laws valid in Finland when handling such personal data.

Monitoring and Compliance

Finavia reserves the right to monitor the use of the APIs offered on the API Platform and uses this information for improvement of the platform, monitoring compliance with these Terms and Specific Terms and providing usage insight to API stakeholders. API User shall be suspended if the API User does not comply with these Terms and/or any Specific Terms or due to technical reasons. Finavia reserves the right to suspend API User if its API use conflicts with the commercial interests of Finavia.

Intellectual Property

No intellectual property is transferred from Finavia to API User, and API User does not have any intellectual property rights to data received through the API Platform. The names and logos of Finavia, its airports and Finavia’s business partners are all protected by trademarks and copyright. API User may not use these names and logos without prior written consent of Finavia.

Limitation of Warranty

The API Platform is provided as-is basis and without any warranty whatsoever. Finavia is not liable for any damage due to unavailable or incorrect APIs and/or data made available through APIs. The API User is liable for any damage caused to Finavia or Finavia’s business partners that is caused by negligent use of the API Platform, or related to API Platform use in violation of these Terms and/or any Specific Terms.

Miscellaneous

API User is not allowed to suggest any affiliation, partnership or representation with Finavia. Finavia has the right to change these Terms and/or any Specific Terms without prior notice. Finavia shall inform API User of any change in Terms and/or any Specific Terms. By continuing to use the API Platform, API User accepts the latest version of these Terms and any Specific Terms. The API Platform and any APIs are made available for the time being and Finavia reserves the right to cancel the availability of the API Platform and/or any API at any time with prior notice. In case of any conflict between these Terms and any Specific Terms, these Terms shall prevail. Any disputes related to these Terms and/or any Specific Terms or to usage of the API Platform or API, shall be brought to district court of Vantaa, Finland and shall be settled according to Finnish law excluding its choice of law rules.
